MOOSOO XL-618A

The Moosoo XL-618A Cordless Vacuum delivers a respectable level of power for its low price. Despite being significantly cheaper than other cordless vacuum cleaners, the M X6 was fourth in our test group. We tested eight different models. The stick vacuum removed the hardwood test sand in 99% of cases. Carpet with low pile carpet saw this percentage drop to 41.3%. The M X6 was able to perform better with thicker, midpile carpets. If you have pets, the Moosoo XL-618A is not recommended. No matter what surface you tested, there was at least visible dander after vacuuming. Hair strands often wind around the brush roll. The Moosoo XL-618A may be a good option if you are looking for cordless vacuuming. This cordless stick vacuum cleaner costs less than other models and does what you need.

Design & Construction

  • The MOOSOO XL-618A includes a main housing and several attachments. Let's start with the central vacuum body. It is designed differently than most handheld stick vacuums. You'll generally see a pistol grip mounted underneath the motor, similar to the grip on a power drill. The vacuum has a forward-angled grip that is positioned behind it. This grip is more like holding a leaf blower rather than a drill. This can be both a good and bad thing. The forward angle is excellent for cleaning floors. You can quickly move the vacuum easily, and your hand will not be stressed.
  • However, it can be awkward to hold the vacuum overhead. It's not too heavy, at 3.3 pounds. The grip angle is not ideal for cleaning overheads or cleaning valences. This will all depend on how your vacuum is used. The control scheme is simple. To turn the vacuum on, you need to press the trigger. Then release the trigger to turn it off. The suction level will vary depending on how hard you pull the trigger.
  • The grip is behind and below the battery. It acts as a counterweight to the motor and provides a flat platform for vacuuming. It can also be removed. You can always replace the battery if you have to. It is located under the motor and in front of your battery. The bin is vast. The average capacity of most battery-operated vacuums is 0.5 to 0.66 litters. A half-litter size is now almost common. The XL-618ZA has a 1.3-liter container. The bin has transparent sides that allow you to see the dust level and is easy to empty. Place it on a trashcan, unlatch the latch and let the dust drop out.

Features

Cleaning & Accessories

  • The XL-618A has been well-designed. However, it lacks some accessories. What about the suction power? It's not the best choice in this area. It has a 12,000 Pascal (12KPa!) suction power. This vacuum is much more powerful than any robot vacuum. The average upright vacuum produces 14KPa of suction. This means that you are looking at a high-quality stick vacuum, not an upright one. This vac works well on both short piles and bare floors. However, you may have trouble with heavily-soiled deep-pile carpets. It is up to you whether or not this is enough.
  • We were not impressed with the cleaning accessories. MOOSOO calls this vacuum a 4-in-1, implying that it has four attachments. There are two attachments, the standard floor roller attachment, and the brush attachment. There is no crevice tool and no small roller designed for automotive use. The extension rod can be removed from the roller. The extension rod can be removed so that you can use the brush or the roller without it. This advertising is misleading as removable extension rods come standard on all stick vacs.

Filters & Battery

  • The XL-618A's running time was one area that impressed us. The power level determines how long it runs, but the XL-618AA can run for between 20 and 35 minutes. This is longer than many stick vacs. Manufacturers will often advertise a time of 60 to 90 minutes. However, these are low-powered modes that don't do much. It has a decent battery life for the power it puts out. It charges quickly. A dead battery can be fully charged in five hours.
  • It won't charge itself. You will need a robot vacuum to do that. For example, take the MOOSOO MT720. The battery will automatically charge and then return to work when it is full. However, it's not as powerful as the XL-618A.
  • There are three layers to the filtration system. The first layer is the cyclone effect of the air passing through a cylinder. Heavy debris is thrown to the exterior and settles at the bottom of the cylindrical. The primary filter will be covered by a high-density screen made of metal. Lighter particles and grit will be absorbed upwards. You can remove the screen and clean it as necessary. You can run water in reverse through the screen until all debris is gone. Allow it to dry in the air, then place it back in the vacuum.
  • High-density HEPA filters are the primary filter. They remove all particles but the most important. It can capture 99.97% of particles as small and as tiny as 0.3 microns. This includes dust mites, mold spores, and pollen and smoke particles. You can replace your filters at a reasonable price and as often as you need them.

Product Pros

  • Great value
  • Convenient
  • Works well with hard floors
  • Affordable and efficient.
  • Larger 1.3-liter dustbin
  • Lightweight and easy-to-handle
  • Long battery life.

Product Cons

  • Carpet could be cleaner
  • Do not use a small roller or crevice tool.
  • The motor is not as powerful and efficient as others.

Final Verdict

The MOOSOO XL-618A can be described as a mixed bag. It lacks primary attachments such as a crevice tool and a small roller. The mount is not included, making storage difficult. This vacuum is a budget-friendly option that performs almost as well as an upright. The attachments are well-engineered and offer decent battery life. You also get a large dust bin and a forward-facing grip. The XL-618A is an excellent value if that's all you need.
